Meditation isn’t just for monks. And it isn't a religion. It’s not self-indulgent or self-centered, nor does it have to be practiced in conjunction with a religion to be effective. Of course it can be, but that’s up to each individual to make a personal choice in that regard.

It doesn’t require any special skills or background, it doesn’t have to demand a huge chunk of time every day, and it isn’t an attempt to make you stop thinking or insist on only positive thoughts.
